As we move through all the changes and challenges of this new normal, we must adapt. This is itself can be difficult, as we have had to give up many things that we relied on to help maintain our physical and mental health like massage therapy, group and personal exercise classes ad yoga to name a few. So, let's create opportunities out of obstacles. We are here to help.
Our therapist Nissa will work with you in one of two ways. You can book a Virtual Self Care Support session directly through our online booking calendar by clicking the button below. This will give you a scheduled virtual appointment with Nissa up to 30 minutes for one on one support to help with pain relief, stress relief, postural and movement balancing and mindfulness. Once you book a virtual session, you will be sent an intake form that will help Nissa prepare for your session. If you are worried about distractions from home, don't. Nissa has her two girls at home as well and you will work through them together.
The second way you can work directly with Nissa is by signing up for the group Mindful Movement classes. This can be done by emailing your request to firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending it through our Facebook page @somatatherapy. She will host small groups into a Zoom video meeting for guided self care support, mindfulness practice and movement and postural balancing support. For people who like the support of groups and a more social and interactive session, this is for you.
Working from home has its challenges, and as Nissa will be hosting both virtual support sessions from her home, please note that there may be the occasional interruption on either side, and that is okay. Full respect, no judgement, all support. Let's do this.
