Our priority is to make your treatment all about you. To ensure that your expectations for greatness are met, we offer a few tips to help your experience be as easy and smooth as possible.
Insurance Coverage
If you have private insurance coverage, please review your benefits so that you understand what to expect. For example, does your policy allow for direct billing and do we direct bill for your insurance company? Also, if your policy requires you to have a doctor's referral, you need to have that prior to your appointment so your claim can be submitted. If there are any issues with your insurance providing payment to our studio, ultimately you are responsible for payment, so understanding your insurance is always recommended.
Late Cancellation-No Shows
Our therapists are here for you. Their schedule is their income, and as service-based practitioners, unlike employees, they depend on the services rendered to get paid. This is why service-based clinics and studios create a policy for late cancellations and missed appointments, otherwise known as "no shows". Having a reasonable amount of time to acknowledge a cancellation allows our therapists to contact clients waiting to get in, or others seeking care in the short term. In our business, 24 hours is considerable reasonable.
Our policy is simple.
We require 24 hours notice to cancel appointments. Cancellations must be received either by phone or email, not facebook. In the case of medical emergencies or inclement weather, we do not enforce our policy. We understand that life happens and sometimes missed appointments just occur. So we always waive the fees for the first one. Any further cancellations within 24 hours or missed treatments are subject to 50%-100% of the service fee so that the therapist can respectfully be compensated. We require credit cards to ensure the security of this policy. In essence, the policy exists to deter repeated cancellations and missed appointments. Please be aware that insurance DOES NOT cover missed appointments, these are to be paid by the client in full.
